BOA MARATHON 2024
Is an inaugural Marathon Race by the Bangladesh Olympic Association with a view to engage students, youths, veterans, and all classes of people in active and healthy lifestyles! It is being organized by Bangladesh Army. With the kind directive of the Respected President, the Bangladesh Olympic Association, the race is going to be organized with the intention to inspire people and involve them more in the physical fitness domain. The race will be a regular Half Marathon at Jolshiri Abashon. Jolshiri Abashon area, Rupganj is a 30-minute drive from Gulshan 2 Circle, a housing society for military officers and managed by the Bangladesh Army. Your running track will consist of a well-connected road network within the gated community. The race is supported by Runbangla and AIMS (Association of International Marathons and Distance Races).
Half Marathon (21.1 KM)
Cut Off Time: 3 hours 30 Minutes
Registration Fee: 700/- BDT
Elite Category(18 yrs and above)
Professional athletes, regular athletes trained for district teams, athletes from different professional sports organizations, and trained athletes from the Bangladesh Armed Forces (Army, Navy, Air force) would participate here. Runners who regularly wins podium in different domestic races in general category, MUST enroll themselves for elite category. If otherwise, they will be declared disqualified from the race.
Professional Runners MUST submit an NOC from their respective institutions before participating in the race.
Prize Money (Male)
The champion would receive a prize money of BDT 2,00000/- (two lac taka)
And there will be prize money for the next 9 Winners
Prize Money (Female)
The champion would receive a prize money of BDT 2,00000/- (two lac taka)
And there will be prize money for the next 4 Winners
General Category (18 yrs and above)
The general category consists of novices runners only. Students, unprofessional runners, working men and women are entitled to participate in this category. Any marathoner who have won any prize in any of the previous marathons, will not be eligible to attend in this category.
Prize Money (Male)
The champion would receive a prize money of 1,75,000/- BDT (one lac seventy-five thousand)
And there will be prize money for next 19 winners
Prize Money (Female)
The champion would receive a prize money of 1,75,000/- BDT (one lac seventy five thousand)
And there will be prize money for the next 9 winners
There is no Veteran category in Half Marathon.
10 KM Run
Cut Off Time: 1 Hour 50 Minutes
Registration Fee: 500/- BDT
General Category(14 yrs to 50 yrs below)
Prize Money (Male)
The champion would receive prize money of BDT 1,25,000/- (one lac and twenty-five thousand) And there will be prize money for next 24 winners
Prize Money (Female)
The champion would receive a prize money of BDT 1,25,000/- (one lac and twenty five thousand) And there will be prize money for next 14 winners
10K Veteran Category (50 yrs and above)
NID Picture must be attached with the registration for veterans.
This category is open to any person aged 50 years and above.
Veteran Male The champion will receive prize money of BDT 1,00000/- (one lac) And there will be prize money for the next 4 winners
Veteran Female The champion will receive prize money of BDT 1,00000/- (one lac) And there will be prize money for the next 2 winners
Timing: Chipped Timing
Podium: Gun Timing (Except Veteran Category, for veteran chip time will be used)

All standard support provided to runners during a running event- will be ensured This is a running event open to all athletes (professionals and amateurs). Please register accordingly.
Wearing a Race Tee shirt is a MUST.
